Research indicates that ADHD sufferers are more likely to have sleep abnormalities, a harder time getting to sleep, and a harder time staying awake during the day – especially if we are not being sufficiently stimulated.
The pervasive, unmentionable problem: too many write for meds without any training on the reality of diagnosis or treatment specifics for ADHD, thinking that labels provided sufficient maps for mind travel. Galileo would not approve.
Looked like ADHD, turned out to reveal NPH: Symptoms in a 76 yo male looked like an ADHD/Executive Function, focus and concentration problem - but with a gait disturbance, a urinary problem [incontinence], and dementia.
